Caitlyn is 20 months old!

I just can't believe it!! In 4 months my little girl will be 2 years old!!! Then when she turns 2, my baby boy will be FOUR years old, a short 2 months later!!

Duke

This is Duke!
He is a WONDERFUL dog.
We rescued him from a shelter in FL.
He's about 1yr to 1.5 yrs old.
He tested positive for heartworms but we had already fallen in love with him!
So we are doing the slow kill treatment for his heartworms and hopefully b/c he is a young fella it won't take too long to kill them all.
He's SUPER smart and house broken (my kinda dog) He's VERY protective of his home.
With hubby on the road a lot driving a truck, I need a protector here for the kids and me. And well, he does the job! He follows me around everywhere!!
We've owned him for about 2 months now. He was getting REALLY active, and I thought maybe he'd like my Inlaws 80 something acres of land to run on so we let him stay there about 3 weeks. Well, he loved it! But the inlaws didn't like picking up their garbage every morning!! Duke is a BIG BOY (66lbs) and still bulking up, I forget that he's still a puppy!! He's a Lab mix, and as best we can tell, has great dane in him. Everyone thinks he is a puppy great dane!! =O But he IS full grown. Just has a head of a great dane I guess. Tho he is ALLLLLLL Lab. He loves the water, he loves running and fetching is is FAVE game!!!

My baby got scared and had to sit with his mommy.
I was a little hurt he didn't stay and sing, but I know that soon enough, I will be BEGGING him to sit in my lap and let me baby him. So I didn't mind too much. He was embarassed I think. All those ppl WATCHING! hehe.

I can't wait for the REAL Thanksgiving dinner! My MIL is having it catered from Folks Country cookin'! MMMMM and my mom is home making everything! Well with the help of Sam's club!

Drunk Drivers!

So I was driving home from walmart. It was late. When A car came around the curve SO fast! I couldn't tell if they were in my lane or theirs....well they were in mine, I hit my brakes to slow down a bit, and they went from my lane to going off the road next to my car, hitting the ditch. Flipping 2-3 times and hitting a tree.
When I think of drunk driving, My mind turns right to teenagers. But these were three grown men!! I was angry as soon as I got to their car. I pulled over and so did the lady behind me.

By the time I got to their car she was already on the phone with 911 and she handed me her phone. She went to the car to make sure everyone was okay.

It was so scary looking. No glass left in the car at all. The front end was Smashed. The driver (drunk) was knocked out, the guy in the back was trying to wake the driver up and he had a gash on his forehead with blood all over his face. The passenger had opened is door and flopped to the ground, eventually fleeting the scene.
The driver finally woke up then started dry heaving. When all the police, ambulance and firetrucks arrived the two men declined any medical attention! They were so stupid!
I stayed to make my statement and left. Oh course I was shaking! I started thinking, what if they would have hit me. Would it have killed me? Would me leaving the house been my last time ever seeing my two kids and my hubby?

Then, what if my kids were in the car??? What if I had died and they lived and they were by them selves in the car until someone arrived. What if they had died and I would have lived. What a horrible life I would have lived.

All those thoughts running thru my head!

Then I thanked God for not allowing ANY of things to happen!

Just scary!

My Wonderful Children

I thought I'd talk about my babies today.

I feel sorta overwhelmed with the feelings I have for them, so this is the perfect way to express them!

First My son, Blake

This is him NOT wanting to smile at me as usual LOL.
We went to a B-day Party today. He was so well behaved!
He is the most handsome adorable kid I know. And I'm NOT just saying that ;)
I look at him and his sister and see PURE perfection. How could someone look at their kids and NOT believe in God? He makes the perfect creations, and he def proved that while making my children!
Blake will always be my baby boy. Even when he's 50 years old. I love this boy with all my soul. He's learning so much! He was darn smart before he started K-3 but WOW at him now. He learns songs faster then Ive ever heard a kid learn them. He's always doing puzzles and "reading" He's so helpful with me. He's always had a Super soft heart! My parents would tease me when he was a baby when I'd say he's Tender hearted. He has yet to prove otherwise! He protects me as best as he knows how, and he'd never do anything mean to me. (Other than being the typical tot) When we are wrestling and daddy tells Blake to "get mommy!" Blake says "UH UH!!" haha.
He's a clever little thing too! Just the things he comes up with seem soooo grown, and my baby isn't even 3.5 years old yet.
He looks out for his sister. Even tho he still hasn't mastered sharing with her. LOL
I hope they make a GREAT team in school. They will only be 2 grades apart. I have such high hopes for them. I know they won't let me down. They are destined for GREAT things!

Now for my little bundle of ATTITUDE! lol

This little girl is sooooo far beyond her age of ONE YEAR OLD, it's not even funny!! She acts like she's 16, and struts her stuff like she's a grown woman with the experience of the world!
She talks like a 2.5 year old. She "puts make-up on" lol
She talks back ALREADY! Yells when ppl are wrong! haha. She is a BALL OF FIRE! and my mom told me girls are easier!?!?!? I think NOT!!
She LOVES to sing! We don't know what about, but she sings! She was in gymnastics with 2 yr olds, and it was all too easy for her, we completed the class, and we are holding off until she can join the 2-3 year olds. She is sooo advanced!! She soaks up everything!!!!!!
Blake was never a mocker. If we slipped saying something, he wouldn't repeat it. I love that! haha. But Caitlyn, no way. We can't say ANYTHING around her.She is a sponge.
And she knows she is adorable!! She fooled us. She was such a quiet baby. Just layed there, never cried. And I MEAN never! She slept thru the night since she came home from the hospital. She was never a bother. Until she hit one yr old. And now she fits perfectly in to our family....she's LOUD!! :P

My babies make me so proud.
I could ask for nothing more in life.
I love my hubby, My children, and my life in general.

Well, I am officially a truckers wife thanks to our good ol' economy. *sigh*
Seems as though it will be good money. My hubby just started. This will be his second week. Actually when he gets back on the road it will be his 3rd. He had to stay home and fix a truck.

We get the first paycheck Friday, and we will see NONE. It will all go to our PASTDUE bills. But at least we will be caught up right?
I guess you can say we live ABOVE our means. At least now we do. When you have a good chunk of money coming in weekly you learn to live a certain way. Now we have close to nothing coming in, but still have all the same bills. *double sigh* Its rough right now. I hope we can all be used to the trucking life. Which like I said the money seems good, but the time missed with my hubby, does it seem worth it? Maybe until our bills get caught up and we are living comffy again. But man, that first week was horrible. The kids missed him so much. Esspecially our son. He's 3. His father is his world right now! (Until girls =P) By day 4 with out daddy, the kids were grumps, I was dreaming of sleep and I wanted to double up on the happy pills!!

Maybe we'll get used to it....maybe we won't.

Are there other young moms like me out there with a trucker man? I'd like to meet some. LOL see what their thoughts on it is. What they do to stay sane with two tots at home.

I voted!! It's so exciting, this time in my life. Like I have a say so in this world, higher up then Because I said so's to my kids. Hubby voted for the first time ever. He is so excited. He's so worried he'll be called for jury duty now. haha. I WANT to be called. I know I guess that means I'm coo-coo. I've been a registered voter since 2000, and have never been called to jury duty, and watch, my hubby has been a registered voter since last month and he'll get called! LOL Thats my luck tho. Anywho, how wonderful of a world we live in where everyone gets to vote freely, a black man is running for president and a woman is up for VP! Crazy huh!? I know many older ppl who have said, they'd NEVER live to see one of those, and now in this AMAZING world they get to see ALL!! And ppl complain and say they'll move if "so and so" make it to the white house. *Rolls eyes* They don't know how lucky we all are! BUT thats a whole other blog! LOL!!

The S' Family Halloween

Me as the kitty, hubby as the faerie (haha!), Caitlyn as a beautiful yellow flower and yes, as it fits Blake perfect, a MONSTER! or as he puts it, COOKIE monster! lol

They both did great! Caitlyn loved walking around on her own saying trick or treat and Blake went house to house for a good 30 minutes and KONKED out!! We went to a HUGE neighborhood in our area, and we only were out 1 hour and they still made out like bandits. Lots of ppl were handing out suckers, so we are good on those til next year lol.

Hubby & I had our 2nd annual Halloween bash. It was a blast as usual!!

More ppl came this time. We had 5 couples plus a neighbor who's wife couldn't attend. But it was GREAT!! A night of dancing, hot wings, alcohol and NO KIDS!

We don't get that so much anymore. Comes with being a mom tho. hehe.
